Kayla Maria G (@kaylamaria.g) is passionate about her career as a professional model and dancer — so passionate that she never let the fact that she was born with a limb difference hold her back. Instead, she follows her passions and inspires others to pursue theirs.
“My advice to someone if they don’t know if their goal is attainable because of whatever circumstance, I would say, ‘Don’t allow negative feelings to hold you back. Allow your passion to fuel you and push you forward. And remember that life is ever-changing,’” Kayla says.
Kayla says she started dancing as a child because her mother wanted to keep her busy. “Little did she know that it was going to become my passion,” she says. Since she took her first dance class, Kayla knew that this was what she wanted to do.
Dancing is important to Kayla because it allows her to connect with many different people, noting that even if we can’t relate to each other’s experiences, people can still relate to each other through a feeling we get through movement.
