Aaron Perris, an analyst for 9To5Mac, discovered mentions of "Google" alongside "OpenAI" and "Third Party Model" in the iOS 18.4 beta update. This suggests that Google's AI model, Gemini, may soon become available to Apple users as an alternative to ChatGPT.

This discovery aligns with Apple's previous announcements. Following the launch of Apple Intelligence at WWDC 2024, software executive Craig Federighi confirmed rumors of an Apple and Google partnership, stating, "We're looking forward to doing integrations with other models, including Google Gemini, for instance, in the future."
