Connections Sports Edition: A New Word Game for Sports Enthusiasts

Connections: Sports Edition, a new version of the popular New York Times word game, challenges sports fans worldwide. Like the original Connections, the goal is to find the "common threads between words."

Understanding Connections Sports Edition

A collaboration between the NYT and The Athletic, Connections can be played on web browsers and mobile devices. Players must group four words that share a common connection. The words can range from book titles to country names.

Each puzzle features 16 words grouped into four categories. Guessing all four words in a set correctly removes them from the board. However, incorrect guesses count as mistakes. Players have a limit of four mistakes before the game ends.

The board can be rearranged and shuffled for easier identification of connections. Each set is color-coded for difficulty: yellow (easiest), green, blue, and purple.
