Connections: The New York Times Word Game That's Captivating Players

Connections is among the most popular New York Times word games, captivating the attention of many. The game's objective is to find "common threads" between words. Similar to Wordle, Connections refreshes daily, and each new set of words becomes more challenging. To help players overcome this obstacle, we've provided hints, tips, and strategies.

Skip to the end of this article for the solution to today's Connections puzzle if you just want the answer. However, if you prefer to solve it on your own, read on for clues, tips, and guidance.

What is Connections?

The NYT's latest daily word game has become a social media phenomenon. Connections, created with the assistance of associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, can be played on both desktop and mobile devices. Players must locate four words that share a commonality.

Each puzzle consists of 16 words, divided into four categories. These categories can range from book titles to country names. While multiple words may appear to fit together, there is only one correct answer.

Correctly grouping all four words removes them from the board. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes, and players have a maximum of four mistakes before the game ends.

Players can rearrange and shuffle the board to enhance their ability to spot connections. Every group is color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Just like Wordle, players can share their results on social media.
