Connections: The New York Times' Latest Daily Word Game
Connections is a popular word game from the New York Times that challenges players to find the "common threads between words." Similar to Wordle, Connections resets daily, and each new set of words becomes progressively more challenging.
To play Connections, players are presented with 16 words divided into four categories, each with a distinct color (yellow, green, blue, purple). The goal is to group the words within each category that share a common characteristic. Guessing correctly removes the words from the board, while incorrect guesses count as mistakes. Players have up to four mistakes before the game ends.
To assist players, Connections offers hints by revealing the categories. Additionally, players can rearrange and shuffle the board to make spotting connections easier. The results can be shared on social media, similar to Wordle.
