In a strategic move, the Qatar government has partnered with AI data company Scale AI to deploy AI-powered tools and training programs. This collaboration aims to significantly improve government service delivery across the Gulf Arab state.

Trevor Thompson, global head of growth at Scale AI, expressed optimism about the impact of the partnership. "This deal can serve as a blueprint for other governments worldwide, allowing us to make a substantial commitment that will accelerate progress," he stated.

AI Tools to Streamline Operations

The deal empowers Qatar's government to leverage advanced technologies such as predictive analytics, automation, and sophisticated data analysis. By harnessing these capabilities, the government can streamline operations and enhance service efficiency.

Over the next five years, Scale AI will develop and refine more than 50 AI applications tailored to Qatar's specific needs.

This strategic partnership underscores Qatar's ambition to establish itself as a leader in the AI domain. The country, a prominent gas exporter and a long-standing ally of the United States, faces increasing competition from neighboring Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in the AI sector.

Founded in 2016, Scale AI is renowned for providing vast amounts of meticulously labeled data used to train AI tools like OpenAI's ChatGPT. The company collaborates with a diverse client base, including tech giants like Microsoft and AI companies like OpenAI and Cohere, supporting them in developing and refining data sets.
