North Korea Accuses US and Allies of Escalating Military Provocations

North Korea's defense ministry has denounced the "pronounced" increase in "military provocations" by the United States and its allies under the Trump administration, according to state media.

The ministry's information office chief, who remains anonymous, issued a statement through KCNA (Korean Central News Agency), alleging that Washington and its "vassal forces" are threatening the security of North Korea (DPRK).

The statement cited recent joint military drills between the US and South Korea, as well as the presence of US military forces in the region, as evidence of these provocations.

Pyongyang Vows Military Response

The official declared that Pyongyang will "counter the enemies' strategic threat with our strategic means," vowing to continue military activities.

Meanwhile, South Korea's defense ministry confirmed a joint air drill involving a US B-1B strategic bomber.

Condemnation and Defense

North Korea has consistently condemned such drills as rehearsals for war. However, Seoul maintains that the exercises are purely defensive in nature.
