Connections: The Daily Word Game Capturing the Spotlight
What is Connections?
The New York Times' daily word game, Connections, has surged in popularity. Puzzle editor Wyna Liu is behind the creation of this captivating word game. Accessible on both web browsers and mobile devices, Connections challenges players to group four words that share a common connection. Each puzzle consists of 16 words divided into four categories. These categories can range from book titles to countries. Despite multiple words seemingly matching, only one correct answer exists for each set. Players can remove words from the board by correctly identifying all four words in a set. Incorrect guesses contribute to a total of four mistakes, after which the game ends. Additionally, players can rearrange and shuffle the board to facilitate spotting connections. Each group is color-coded for difficulty, with yellow being the easiest and purple being the most challenging. Results can be shared on social media, akin to Wordle.Today's Connections Categories
